Craig Phillips would only go back to 'Big Brother' to perform a DIY task.
The 52-year-old builder shot to fame when he won the inaugural series of the reality show in 2000 and now that the series is back on screens, he has admitted that he would only make a comeback if it was something to do with his day job.
He told The Daily Star: "I certainly wouldn’t go back as another contestant to try and win the show or nominate or anything like that. But I would go back if they wanted me to do a DIY task – that's really the only reason I would go back to it.”
The former '60 Minute Makeover' star went on to add that he was "eagerly anticipating" the revival of the series - which is currently airing on ITV1 and introduced an initial batch of 16 housemates to the viewing public - but admitted that the show possibly should have been taken off air earlier than its initial axing in 2018.
"I was eagerly anticipating seeing who the 16 housemates were going to be on launch day, so it was really nice to watch it again. I’ve got to be honest, I was getting a buzz looking forward to it. In the past, I was glad to see Big Brother end on Channel 4 after the 10/11 years it ran for. I felt it ran its course, but I felt it came back too soon for Channel 5 and it needed a break, a cool off period. But now we’ve been off air for six years, and I was excited and looking forward to its return. I do believe that ITV could bring it back and bring a new breath of fresh air to the show."
