Craig Charles has quit 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' following his brother's death.
The 'Coronation Street' actor - who was starring in the 14th series of the reality TV show - has left the jungle after he was informed that his elder sibling, Dean, had suffered a fatal heart attack, aged 52, on Tuesday night (18.11.14).
According to The Sun newspaper, Craig, 50, was told of the tragedy when he woke up this morning (20.11.14) and show bosses have confirmed he left the jungle camp shortly afterwards.
An ITV spokesman said: "Craig decided to leave the IAC camp earlier today and will be heading back to his family in the UK. We send our sincere condolences to Craig and his family."
Dean's ex-wife Karen Shaw - who had two children with the former police superintendent - has spoken of the family's shock.
She said: "It's a shock. He was always fit and healthy."
Adding: "Craig will have to leave after this."
Craig is the second person to quit the show in just 24 hours after 'The Only Way Is Essex' star, Gemma Collins, decided "that jungle life is not for her" on Wednesday (19.11.14).
A spokesperson for the show said: "We're sorry to see Gemma go but respect her decision and wish her well."
Before her departure from the ITV series, Gemma, 33, had complained about the lack of food on the show and insisted camp mates were being treated worse than criminals.
She said: "People who murder get treated better than this.
"That's the truth. Even a murderer gets fed three times a day."
