The former 'Friends' star - who made a name for herself playing busy-body Monica Geller in the long-running comedy - is to portray a charismatic hippie leader of a six-day healing retreat in the forthcoming show 'Truthing'.

The programme will follow the brunette beauty's over-bearing alter-ego as she tries to enlighten a new round of truth-seeking recruits, according to Deadline.com.

The exciting new show, which will be a UK and US joint production, was reportedly nabbed by ITV after it beat several other UK broadcasters to develop the series.

Meanwhile, the 51-year-old actress isn't the only cast member of 'Friends' to stretch her wings across the pond as David Schwimmer, who played her on-screen brother Ross Geller, featured in the BBC mockumentary, 'Come Fly with Me', while Matthew Perry - who portrayed Chandler Bing - is hitting London's West End with his play 'The End Of Longing'.

Matt LeBlanc, who played dopey Joey Tribbiani in the sitcom, has also recently landed a presenting gig on 'Top Gear'.

The 48-year-old actor is fronting the revamped motoring show alongside Chris Evans following the shock departure of the former line-up Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May last year over a controversial filming scuffle.
