Tina O'Brien is "really upset" that Lucy Fallon is leaving 'Coronation Street'.
The 36-year-old star - who plays Sarah Platt on the ITV soap - will be sad to see her on-screen daughter (Bethany Platt) depart the cobbles next year, but she has backed the star to do well because she has a "natural ability".
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, she said: "I'm really upset. I really, really like her. On and off screen, I think she's a very talented actress and she has a natural ability.
"She doesn't have to say anything and I don't think many people have that.
"I did a scene with her the other day and she just looked at me and in her look I could read all these different emotions.
"I walked on set the other day and I didn't really know anyone, because you sometimes work with people you don't really know.
"Lucy was there and within five seconds we were laughing and joking.
"She's brilliant and I'm really going to miss her."
And Tina thinks Sarah will be equally as sad to see Bethany go, because she is such good friends with her daughter.
She added: "I think Sarah is going to be really sad. Because she had her daughter so young they've got a friendship bond now as well.
"She probably tells her daughter more than she should.
"Because sometimes when you've got that big a gap you don't tell, but I don't think she's had that filter with Bethany.
"I think she'll really, really miss her.
"But hopefully, like I understand that Lucy has to go, Sarah will understand that Bethany has to go."
