'Coronation Street' will air at 9pm for a week of dramatic episodes starting on May 27.
ITV bosses have confirmed the soap is set for its annual run in a later time slot to coincide with the upcoming 'Britain's Got Talent' live finals, and the excitement will go beyond the talent show as things are set to really heat up on the cobbles.
While previous years have seen this week focus on the likes of Bethany Platt's (Lucy Fallon) grooming storyline in 2017, and Pat Phelan's (Connor McIntyre) demise last year, this time around the Platts and Connors are expected to take centre stage.
The fallout from the Underworld roof collapse is still rolling on, while brothers Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) are still trying to hide the truth about who really stole grandmother Audrey's (Sue Nicholls) £80,000.
Meanwhile, the Connors have been struggling to cope with Carla's (Alison King) mental health issues lately, and she was taken into care during Monday evening's episode (13.05.19).
Viewers will also be looking forward to finding out who is behind the factory roof collapse with Carla and Nick on the suspect list alongside Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill), Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni).
It sounds like we won't have to wait long after a 'Corrie' spokesperson hinted all will be revealed very soon.
They said: "Following weeks of speculation, we are finally going to learn which local has blood on their hands.
"Viewers will learn the truth, although the rest of the Street still has a little way to go before they clock on. It's a story that is going to run and run, and the outcome is not going to be cut and dried."
