Sue Cleaver and the 'Coronation Street' crew showed a "real Dunkirk spirit" shooting her character's thrilling showdown with evil husband Pat Phelan.

The 54-year-old actress had "great fun" filming the hair-raising harbour wall scenes in bitterly cold weather, which will see her alter-ego Eileen Phelan clash with her secret serial killer hubby - played by Connor McIntyre - after finding out about his horrific murder spree.
Speaking at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards 2018 at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday night (20.03.18), she told BANG Showbiz: "I didn't have to do any stunt training, but I did have to spend a lot of time on top of a harbour wall in the freezing cold with horizontal hail and rain - it was great fun.
"The whole team has come together for the scenes and shown a real Dunkirk spirit.
"It's been the best storyline I've been involved with, I've loved it, it's been brilliant and everyone involved has had a blast doing it."
While the 'Girls' Night' star has been enjoying shooting Phelan's potential demise, 'Corrie' has come under criticism after long-standing character David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) was raped by Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton) in Friday night's (16.03.18) double bill, but Sue thinks it is an "important" story to tell.
She added: "I think it's really important to tackle these type of story. We are representative of every person in this country and this is a message that needs to get out, men need to feel free to talk about it and if we can help somebody by doing that then our job is done.
"To the people who are complaining I would say that you can't please all the people all the time, people want the soap to cover everything and everybody, you ask anyone on telly that can't happen all the time."
