Ruxandra Porojnicu was rushed to hospital feeling “very sore” following an accident.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star, who played Alina Pop in the ITV soap, was involved in a "clumsy" accident which required medical attention.
The Romanian actress, 29, took to Instagram to share a picture of her bandaged hand and wrist, and she made light of the incident.
She wrote on her Instagram Stories: "I'm many things but clumsy too - which is hilarious but also painful."
Ruxandra, who quit the soap after two years of playing Alina, revealed in September last year she had wrapped on the cobbles.
She took to Instagram and posted a picture of her standing next to co-star Alan Halsall – who played Alina’s former fiancée Tyrone Dobbs - on the famous Weatherfield set.
She wrote: "And that’s a wrap on Corrie! Thanks to everyone who encouraged and supported me. It meant so much. I worked with some of the finest people, who are not only extremely talented but very humble and caring.
"They made me feel welcome and a part of this beautiful family. TA EVERYONE! People up north are well nice! (sic)"
Ruxandra was recently cast in upcoming action comedy film ‘Sumotherhood’ alongside a star-studded cast, including Ed Sheeran, Jaime Winstone, Kevin Bishop and Jennifer Saunders.
The movie will be directed by BAFTA-winning star Adam Deacon, who has helmed British indie dramas ‘Kidulthood’ and ‘Adulthood’.
Deacon recently said: "This film is going to be an explosion of fun with action and comedy at every turn, while also hitting some serious subject matters with raw emotion and harsh reality."
