'Coronation Street' actress Paula Lane has given birth to a baby boy.
The 28-year-old actress - who plays bad girl Kylie Platt in the soap - and her husband Tom Shaw welcomed their first child into the world on New Year's Eve (31.12.14).
Paula announced the happy news on her Twitter account in a post which read: "Our world is complete - we finished off a momentous year with the arrival of our beautiful baby boy on NYE!!!! (sic)"
No other details about the birth or the tot are yet to be revealed.
Paula - who was seen leaving Weatherfield in the Christmas Day episode after being thrown out by her on screen husband David Platt - has been congratulated by many of her 'Coronation Street' co-stars and colleagues.
The show's official website posted: "Many congratulations to Coronation Street's Paula Lane, who plays Kylie Platt. Paula gave birth last night to a baby boy, on New Year's Eve."
Her pregnant co-star Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva Price, tweeted: "Massive congrats guys!!! Lots of love!! I'm cooking him a little pal as we speak ;-) xxx (sic)"
Debbie Rush - who portrays Anna Windass - posted on Twitter: "Massive congratulations to @lane_paula and @SirTomShaw on the birth of your baby boy. What a way to start the year! Sending much love xxxxx (sic)"
Paula married her teenage sweetheart Tom - who she met while they were both students at Huddersfield Technical College - in May 2014 and announced her pregnancy news just a few weeks later.
