Mikey North has teased there is "a lot happening" for his 'Coronation Street' character this year - and wouldn't be surprised if he is killed off.
The 32-year-old actor's character Gary Windass is currently dating Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) but with the family's record of deceased partners the star admits he will "probably" be bumped off soon.
He said: "It's going to be a big year, there's a hell of a lot happening for Gary.
"It's kind of his big turning point; there is lots to come that will take us to all locations far and wide. It should be good. It's kind of the next strand of the characters life really.
"I've always said, the amount of Platt's boyfriends and husbands that have died, it's probably got to be me next, but I've had a good run."
Gary is up to no good after he was forced to start working for loan shark Rick Neelan (Greg Wood), which was seen him target old people into taking out high interest loans, but Mikey recalls his character being "a bit of a bad lad" when he first stepped foot on the cobbles in 2008.
He added to The Sun Online: "I suppose when you look back at when he kind of first came into it, he was kind of a bit of a bad lad and a bit of a chav in some ways, a bit of a low life, so it's kind of reverted back to his youth in a way."
Despite being in a relationship with Sarah, Gary has fathered a child, Zack, with Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorp), and Tina recently admitted she would kick her partner Adam Crofts out if he did that in real life.
She said: "Sarah assumes that Gary's heart is in the right place and maybe she overlooks things that she shouldn't. I definitely wouldn't be as reasonable in her shoes.
"I'd be like, 'Sorry? You had a baby with another person? Bye bye!'
"But she thinks they're a good team and she knows that he loves her and wants to be with her, so she's a bit more forgiving than she should be."
