'Coronation Street's Maria Connor is set to have a drunken bunk up with handsome factory boss Aidan Connor.

The beautiful hairdresser - portrayed by Samia Ghadie - will find herself in bed with her late husband Liam's (Rob James-Collier) cousin (Shayne Ward) this week after they bond over their doomed relationships while knocking back the booze.
Samia explained: "Don't forget they have history and have known each other for years because Maria was married to Aidan's cousin Liam. Aidan gives Maria a shoulder to cry on, they get chatting and find out they have loads to talk about. He gives Maria a lot of charm - and she falls for it."
However, the pair's naughty antics will unlikely go down well with Aidan's girlfriend Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley).
Samia said: "Eva is Maria's friend so she didn't do this on purpose. She's in this situation before she even thought of it. She and Aidan have a bottle of wine together and are a bit tipsy - and that's how they end up in bed.
"They do realise what they've done is wrong, although Aidan regrets it more as he has a lot more to lose."
But it's not all bad news for Maria as the drunken bunk up with Aidan will make her realise she doesn't want to be with her mechanic boyfriend Luke Britton (Dean Fagan).
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Samia said: "In some ways, her doing what she does with Aidan is a way for her to get out of her relationship with Luke. By doing that, Maria thinks she can't possibly be in love with Luke."
