Mollie Gallagher has been announced for 'Dancing On Ice'.
The 'Coronation Street' actress - who plays Nina Lucas in the soap - is swapping the cobbles for the ice rink after becoming the fifth celebrity confirmed for ITV's figure skating competition when it returns in 2023.
Appearing on ITV's 'Lorraine' on Thursday (06.10.22), she said: "I’m really excited. I’ve not really felt nervous yet, strangely. But being here today, I am now feeling it a little bit."
She admitted she'll be getting plenty of advice from former 'Corrie' stars who have also competed on the show.
She added: "I'll be getting all the tips I can because I'm going to need it!"
And Mollie confessed some of her friends might "laugh" when they hear she's signed up for the show, insisting she hasn't "got the best coordination".
She said: "I think I’ve not got the best coordination and everyone that knows me well knows that so when they find out I’m doing this, they’re gonna laugh."
The actress joins an already star studded lineup featuring actress and DJ Patsy Palmer, former footballer Josh Fashanu, 'Love Island' winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu and Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson.
Former 'EastEnders' actress Patsy commented earlier this week: "I wanted to challenge myself and get back to work, get out of my comfort zone.
"And I just thought ‘I’ll just go for it’, it seems like a lot of fun."
While Fashanu said: "I don’t think it’ll come as a surprise to people that I’m very competitive – I am definitely in it to win it.
"And this may be one of the scariest things I’ve ever signed up for but I couldn’t be more ready for the challenge."
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will once again be at the helm presenting the show early next year, while Jane Torvill, Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo will be back as judges.
