'Coronation Street' and 'Emmerdale' stars will do battle in a 'The Big Quiz' special.

Jack P. Shepherd - who plays David Platt on the show - will lead a team of cobbles stars consisting of Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald) and Sair Khan (Alya Nazir), as they attempt to get one over on 'Emmerdale' team captain Mark Charnock (Marlon Dingle) and his fellow Dales actors Karen Blick (Lydia Dingle) and Jay Kontzle (Billy Fletcher).

Stephen Mulhern will once again host 'The Big Quiz: Coronation Street v Emmerdale', and the scores are tied at three wins apiece from the previous years of the show.

Last year's instalment saw Mark's 'Emmerdale' quizzers triumph over their Jack's 'Corrie' side.

Mark and his team, Lisa Riley (Mandy Dingle), Isabel Hodgins (Victoria Sugden) and Nick Miles (Jimmy King), tasted victory over Jack, Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs), Alexandra Mardell (Emma Brooker), and 'Corrie' legend Sue Nicholls (Audrey Roberts).

Afterwards, 'Corrie' wrote on Twitter: "Congratulations @Emmerdale!

We'll see you next year for the big decider!"

'Emmerdale' tweeted: "And #TheBigQuiz winner is… Emmerdale!  

"Well done to Lisa, Mark, Isabel and Nick - what an incredible team!

"No hard feelings, @itvcorrie! Better luck next time #Emmerdale (sic)"

'Emmerdale' wreaked their revenge on 'Corrie' after the Weatherfield residents outdid the Dales stars back in 2018.

Jack once again led a 'Corrie' side, which consisted of Peter Gunn (Brian Packham), Bhavna Limbachia (Rana Habeeb) and Julia Goulding (Shona Platt).

While Mark had Amy Walsh (Tracy Metcalfe) and Dominic Brunt (Paddy Kirk) on his losing side.

Bhavna wrote on Twitter afterwards: "Thank you for all your lovely comments re tonight’s #Corrie and #thebigsoapquiz Had an absolute blast on the show (sic)"
