Commuters were serenaded by an undead string quartet playing 'The Walking Dead' soundtrack in London on Tuesday (16.08.21).
Members of the Covent Garden Sinfonia donned show-inspired make-up to perform the iconic score at Piccadilly Circus and under the London Eye, much to the shock of local workers and tourists.
The musicians' performance came as part of a rehearsal ahead of a full orchestra performance - for which they will all appear in make-up inspired by the walkers - at the premiere of season 11's opening episode later this week.
Ben Palmer, Artistic Director of Covent Garden Sinfonia said: "We decided to give Londoners an early morning wake-up call today with our quartet of musicians inspired by walkers.
"The score to 'The Walking Dead' is one those iconic themes that instantly transports you to the universe of the show, and we’re looking forward to celebrating the launch of the final season.”
Season 11 of The Walking Dead will be the grand finale of the terrifying TV series and airs on Star on Disney + from August 23 and fans have a chance to see the premiere episode first at a star-studded screening at Kings Place Concert Hall on Thursday (19.08.21) evening.
