Coleen Nolan worried that the latest series of 'The Real Full Monty' would never happen after the cast were struck down by illness.
The 58-year-old star fronts the annual ITV1 special - which sees celebrities strip off to raise money for cancer research - along with Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo but revealed that rehearsals for the show were "really stressful" because there was never a full team on set.
She is quoted by The Daily Star newspaper as saying: "It was a really stressful and hard one to film. People got ill... two of the celebrities got COVID. "It meant they couldn't be at the rehearsals. Other people were away working, too. So we didn't have a full team when we were practising the routine." There was a point. where I thought, 'We're never going to get this... we're never going to get it."
The 'Loose Women' panellist went on to add that the day of the actual performance was the first time everyone was together but admitted that everything came together in the end.
She added: "We weren't all together until the day of the performance. It was squeaky bum time.
"It added to the drama of it all. But I could have done without that drama! Thankfully, all of the celebs were able to make it to the gig to do the routine, which is about raising awareness about the importance of getting cancer check-ups. Everyone made it and everyone pulled it out of the bag."
The charity special will air in December on ITV1 and will feature famous faces like former 'TOWIE' stars Gemma Collins and Pete Wicks, broadcaster Julia Bradbury, drag queen Ella Vaday, former 'Coronation Street' actress Victoria Ekanoye, and ‘Benidorm' star Sherrie Hewson
