Claudia Winkleman was forced to use gravy instead of fake tan during 'The Traitors'.
The 51-year-old presenter needed to think on her feet and find an alternative method for an emergency top up during filming at the remote Ardross Castle location in the Scottish Highlands.
Speaking on BBC panel show 'Would I Lie To You?', Claudia confessed: "I didn’t have my normal fake tan there because I was in the castle, so what I thought was, ‘Let’s just use something!’
“I don’t think I’m allowed to say a brand, but it was gravy granules.
“I’d had a spray tan, but it was episode five - round table, you’re wearing tweed, but what else do you need? Gravy granules."
Asked where the unusual substitute came from, Claudia revealed there were some shops nearby.
She added: "They came from a shop - there are shops there - and it’s really good. It really works.”
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' star previously insisted "there is no such thing as too orange", and she has revaled her unusual technique for getting rid of the fake tan.
Appearing on 'The Graham Norton Show', she said: "When I was a university, I got rid of the bed and hired a sunbed instead – it was super cosy, and I was fluorescent!
"I love being orange but to scrub it off I use table salt and a scourer – I have asked my husband to do it but it’s not good for foreplay."
She also acknowledged the "unhealthy" side of her past sunbed habits.
She added: "I never get on the sunbed now. My body no longer recognises the actual sun."
Meanwhile, in the past Claudia has admitted to using Bisto gravy, mud and old tea bags to maintain her tan on a budget during her university days.
Speaking to BBC Radio 4's 'Women's Hour', she said: "Everything was reused, and I mean everything."
