Cilla Black is to take the first ever Legends Award from the Royal Television Society.
Giving the former Blind Date host the award to honour her five decades in the television business, it will be handed over during the RTS Legends Lunch: In Conversation With Cilla Black OBE on December 5 at the House of Lords.
As Britain's leading forum for television and related media, the RTS has chosen to recognise Cilla as one of the most-loved and successful entertainers from the UK.
The star's had a massive 19 Top 40 singles, sold out concert venues worldwide and presented iconic television shows which led to her receiving a BAFTA Award.
At the event Cilla will discuss her career in the industry, providing insights and anecdotes drawn from her extensive career.
She'll be in conversation with ITV's Jeff Pope, who recently explored her life in Sheridan Smith-starring hit drama Cilla.
