Christine McGuinness broke down in tears on 'The Games' as she opened up about her autism diagnosis.
The 34-year-old model - who is married to comedian Paddy McGuinness with whom she has eight-year-old twins Penelope and Leo, and six-year-old daughter Felicity, all three of whom have also been diagnosed with the neurodevelopmental disorder - is taking part in ITV's new live sports show but admitted that she was "more scared of the stadium than the sport" and worried that she would "freeze" while taking part.
Tearing up while speaking in a teaser for the show before Monday night's (09.05.22) first episode, she said: "I was diagnosed last year so I will stay where I'm comfortable because of that.
"I'm more scared of the stadium that I am of the sport. I wanna give it my best shot but I'm worried that I could simply freeze and say I'm not doing it.
I'm really hoping that doesn't happen cos I've got just this one shot to get it right."
The former 'Real Housewives of Cheshire' star - who recently revealed she has also been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) - is appearing on the appearing on the show alongside soap stars Colson Smith and Ryan Thomas, and while she has her "struggles", husband Paddy is "really happy" she is taking part in the show and Christine insisted that it has been "good" for the whole family.
Appearing on 'This Morning' earlier this week, she said: "I’m autistic, all three children are autistic as well, and we do have our struggles. I struggle a lot with things other people don’t don’t, so the crowd, the sensory overload, anxiety, the noise – it’s quite a lot.
"The change in routine every day has been quite difficult to deal with. Being around a new group of people has been so, so hard, but as time’s gone on it’s got a lot easier. It’s been good for all of us as a family.
"Again, that shows growth in me and the children, how we’re dealing with change now – and we’re enjoying it as well! I’ve loved it, This has been like a massive holiday for me!"
