Christine Lampard is to host 'Lorraine' over the summer.
The 42-year-old TV presenter appeared on the show earlier today (13.07.21) and she joked that while her newborn son Freddie, who was born in March, is sleeping well at the moment, that will probably come to an end when she fills in for Lorraine Kelly on the programme in August.
She said: "The night before last I had him asleep at 8.30 and I had to wake him up at eight o'clock.
"If we could get that routine going oh my goodness, we've nailed it.
"But you know that's not going to happen in August when I have to be in here.
"That's when he's not going to sleep."
Show host Lorraine is delighted Christine - who has stepped in for her on a number of occasions - will be back in the hot seat when she is on her summer break.
Lorraine said: "I'm so glad you're able to do the show for the summer, I really am."
Christine - whose husband is retired footballer Frank Lampard - replied: "I cannot wait. This is a nice, little taster."
The former 'The One Show' presenter took to social media in March to confirm Freddie's arrival.
She wrote: "Let us introduce you to our newest addition. ..Frederick (Freddie) George Lampard! We are completely in love @franklampard (sic)"
The couple also have two-year-old daughter Patricia, and Frank has 15-year-old Luna and 14-year-old Isla from a previous relationship.
During a stand-in stint on the morning show last year, Christine and 'Good Morning Britain' host Kate Garraway fuelled speculation that Lorraine could be taking part in 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
Kate said: "One of the reasons that she is not here is that she's gone into a 'Strictly' bubble! You know how they're talking about couples going into bubbles for social distancing? Lorraine is rumoured to be one of them."
Christine asked the crew: "Has anyone got any information in this studio?
"No, not a word I'm being told in my ear. But if I hear any gossip, I will tell you when I hear, obviously."
