Chris Harris is reportedly being lined up for 'Celebrity MasterChef'.
The 'Top Gear' host - who presents the BBC One motoring show along with Paddy McGuinness and Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff - is wanted by the cooking programme's bosses as they look to attract the programme's viewers to the cookery competition.
An insider told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "Chris loves food and can rustle up some decent, hearty grub. But he is by no means a kitchen whizz. He's nervous but thinks it will be good fun and is prepared to get stuck in.
"Chris is used to stressful situations racing around the track but cooking will be a whole new challenge."
'Celebrity MasterChef' and the civilian version are both judged by Gregg Wallace and John Torode and air on BBC One.
Recently, Gregg admitted that he only continues to front 'MasterChef' with his friend John, 54, to pay off his mortgage.
The 55-year-old food expert - who has co-hosted the cooking show with John since 2005 - said: "Once I've paid off my mortgage and I have the pension pot that I require, then I'll take a judgement on whether I'll keep doing the show. But right now I still need the money!"
