'Coronation Street' bosses have been left red-faced after Chris Fountain was left in the soap's 2014 calendar.
The 25-year-old actor - who played Tommy Duckworth - was axed from the show last week after explicit rap videos of him glorying rape and violence emerged online, but executives have suffered more embarrassment after they failed to pull him from the front cover of next year's official calendar.
The hunky mechanic can been seen pictured alongside his girlfriend Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) as part of a "Two's Company" theme for January, but show chiefs have decided to leave the snap in as it would cost too much money to ditch the printed copies and start again.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It's pretty embarrassing. The calendar was produced before the story about Chris rapping about raping women came to light.
"Tina and him are the couple featured for January but it's too late to do anything about it. It would cost a huge amount of money to scrap all the copies and have them reprinted."
The star joined the Cobbles in 2011 and his contract was not due to expire until February 2014, but ITV took immediate action and suspended him while they carried out further inquiries on the "vile" song, which was recorded over a year ago by Chris under the moniker of masked MC The Phantom.
However, despite Chris' sudden apology following the leaked footage, ITV decided they had "no choice" but to terminate his contract with immediate effect.
