Chris Fountain will have to "fight" for his 'Coronation Street' career.
The 25-year-old actor had already been suspended after a rap song - which reportedly glorified violence - he recorded over a year ago recently leaked online, and it is said he could be on his way out of the soap he's played Tommy Duckworth on since 2011.
An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "His contract only lasts until February so if he doesn't go now, he may be dropped more quietly in a few months.
"There is a big meeting at the start of the week and Chris will have to come in and fight to keep his 'Corrie' career. He has a lot of thinking to do this weekend."
With a showdown meeting set for Monday (19.08.13), Chris reportedly has a lot to answer for after bringing a huge amount of bad press for the show.
The source added: "Chris' career on the soap is hanging by a thread at the moment.
"These videos have disgusting lyrics and have only created negative publicity for ITV and 'Corrie' so he has a lot of explaining to do."
Chris did issue an apology in the immediate aftermath in which he said he was "deeply ashamed" of his past actions.
He commented: "I would like to sincerely apologise for any offence I have caused.
"I am deeply ashamed by the lyrics and very much regret my behaviour.
"The videos were made over a year ago when I was experimenting with music and I've not done anything like it since, nor will I."
