Chris Evans is hoping to attract "bigger stars" to 'Top Gear'.
The BBC Radio 2 host is keen to see more American celebrities appear on the motoring show's 'Star In A Reasonably Priced Car' segment when he takes the reigns because he feels it is "vicariously the biggest chat show in the world".
He told The Sun newspaper: "Hopefully we're going to have more stars, bigger stars. We want to work with Los Angeles because we know 'Top Gear' is vicariously the biggest chat show in the world.
"If you sit on the 'Top Gear' sofa we're not going to ask you about your maid, who you had an affair with, we're going to talk about cars."
Meanwhile, the 49-year-old presenter has reportedly been failing to "master the art" of driving and talking at the same time.
A source said: "Chris is really struggling to master the art of driving and talking to camera, which is crucial. He is in a massive sweat about it because he often ends up fluffing his lines.
"The professional drivers are doing a lot more to cover for him and the camera crew are getting frustrated."
