'Doctor Who' showrunner Chris Chibnall thinks the upcoming series will be the most "ambitious" he's worked on.
The 51-year-old TV writer became the show's executive producer in 2016, and he's teased details of the new series at the San Diego Comic Con.
He shared: "It’s definitely the most ambitious thing we’ve done since we’ve been on the series."
The new series of the sci-fi show - which stars Jodie Whittaker as the titular character - is also set to herald the arrival of a new character, with Jacob Anderson joining the cast as Vinder.
And the former 'Game of Thrones' recently admitted he's thrilled to have been cast in the role.
He shared: "The Doctor has been a part of my life forever, from watching and re-watching the serials on VHS as a kid and being terrified, to unexpectedly finding my eyes watering when the Tenth Doctor said 'I don't want to go', I always wanted to live in the Whoniverse.
"Not only has a lifelong dream of mine now been fulfilled, but to be playing a character as fun, adventurous and dynamic as Vinder is the cherry on top. This is very cool."
Stand-up comedian John Bishop is also starring in the new series, which is set to air later this year.
However, he previously admitted to once rejecting a role on 'Doctor Who' because of his touring commitments.
John explained: "I met Chris Chibnall and he had this idea, and this character. He'd seen me in a few things, and he wanted to know if I'd be interested in 'Doctor Who'.
"I was flattered but the problem was I was on tour when they were meant to be filming. So although I fancied it, I had to say no."
