The couple - who have been together for over three years - are set to tie the knot after James got down on one knee during a romantic holiday to Paris.
Sharing details of the proposal, Chloe said: "He kissed me on the forehead and said, 'You do know how much I love you, don't you? The last three and a half years have been the best years of my life.' I just thought he was being romantic because we were in Paris, so I replied, 'Oh babe, that's so sweet.'
"But then he added, 'And you do know I want to marry you?' and started to get down on one knee. At first I thought he was joking. I was speechless and stared at him in disbelief. My first thought was, 'Oh my God, he has a ring!'"
And James designed the ring himself to make sure he could get Chloe exactly what she wanted.
He added to Hello! magazine: "I wanted it [the ring] to be perfect and for her to love it. That ring was a labour of love for me. Planning the rest of my life with Chloe is exciting and I couldn't be happier."
Meanwhile, Chloe previously revealed her boyfriend "stalked" her on Twitter before they got together.
She shared: "He stalked me on Twitter after seeing a picture of me lifting weights. He was calling me and calling me. I was upfront and said, 'I don't want to sleep with you. I don't want to date you. I'm not interested'.
"He got me to meet up by saying he had a female food supplement line that he wanted me to be the face of. At the meeting there wasn't a supplement in sight but we hit it off and after a few weeks I thought I'd probably end up with him."
