'The Greatest Dancer' judge Cheryl Tweedy's dance credentials have been blasted as "questionable".
The 35-year-old popstar is on the judging panel for the new BBC show alongside 'Strictly Come Dancing' star Oti Mabuse and 'Glee' actor Matthew Morrison but 'Dancing On Ice' judge Jason Gardiner has hit out at Cheryl, claiming she is unqualified for the job.
Speaking to The Daily Mirror, he said: "The judging line up on that is questionable as well...what's her dance background? Where is her dance background? She went to Royal Ballet School that you pay for, an extortionate amount to go to because mum and dad just want to drop you off somewhere for the holidays."
However, Cheryl's co-star Oti has been hugely impressed with Cheryl and has urged her to compete in 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
Oti said recently: "I would love to see her try. I think if she did 'Strictly', people would love her and see another side that they haven't seen yet. She would be brilliant."
Despite reports that the pair have not hit it off on set, Oti insisted she and Cheryl have become firm friends.
She said: "We're generally getting to know each other and there's something about her that I love.
"I feel like once she lets you in she kind of takes care of you like a sister."
Meanwhile, Cheryl has slammed reports she and Oti have not been getting along.
A representative for the star said: "It's a fabricated story - yet again trying to pit female against female on a TV show. It's a shame we haven't moved past this."
"Cheryl absolutely loves working with Oti and has a brilliant relationship with her."
Oti added: "I love Cheryl and had a great time filming 'The Greatest Dancer' with her and I can't wait to see her again soon."
