Sharon Osbourne thinks Rita Ora has replaced Cheryl Fernandez-Versini as the new "It girl".
The 63-year-old TV personality has told Cheryl, 32, to accept that Rita is the nation's new sweetheart and that her 'X Factor' co-star has overtaken her among female pop singers in Britain.
She said: "Cheryl needs to just ride out the storm. You can't be the 'It girl' all the time.
"There's always one girl that everyone wants to be around and interview, and that's Rita right now."
However, Sharon also issued a warning to Rita, insisting that her moment as the country's "It girl" will only be fleeting.
She told Closer magazine: "It comes with the territory, but it never lasts longer than five minutes. You can't be everyone's flavour of the day - it comes and goes in waves."
Earlier this month, meanwhile, Cheryl's cousin Tony Tweedy claimed the pop star and her husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini - who wed last year after a whirlwind romance - find it difficult to communicate because she speaks little French and he is not well versed in English.
Tony explained: "The family think the marriage is over. When I asked if Cheryl was happy with him, they replied, 'Put it this way, I'll give it six months.' That was three months ago, and look what's happening.
"Cheryl can't speak French. I'm told he speaks little English. What sort of relationship is it if she cannot speak French and he can't speak English? They may as well have a threesome with the interpreter."
