Charlotte Dawson is "so worried" about her unborn baby after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
The 'Ex On The Beach' star admits she is "struggling mentally" after finding out she has high glucose levels and has thus had to change her diet to help limit the effects.
Speaking to Steph’s Packed Lunch on Channel 4, she said: "I am struggling mentally with everything. It’s mentally draining, feeling like this. I think it’s probably getting to me as well, if I’m down I usually have chips and gravy… [laughs] and I can’t! I’m just so worried about doing anything to the baby, that’s what I’m so worried about, of anything happening to him. Having a baby in a pandemic … it’s not easy."
Charlotte revealed in August that she and her partner, rugby league player Matthew Sarsfield are to welcome their first child together next year.
And the star said 'Blankety Blank' presenter Les - who died from a heart attack when Charlotte was just eight months old - would've been the "best grandfather".
She said: "We went for the first scan and my due date is actually the week before, but there's every chance I could give birth on his birthday. What a tribute that would be! He would've been the best grandfather. It's bittersweet because he would have been here, making everyone laugh."
Matthew admitted that the couple - who have been together for four years - can't wait to welcome their child, which will have a double barrelled surname to include Dawson.
He said: "We're both ready for this next chapter. We've got a house and we've been together for four years. It feels right."
