Charlie De Melo's dog has given birth to puppies.
The 'Coronation Street' actor - who plays Imran Habeeb in the ITV soap - has seven new four-legged friends in his life, Hazel, Keith, Bertha, Susan, Monty, Stella, and Daisy, after his dog Toto gave birth to the "gorgeous and healthy" pups.
He wrote: "Well done my Toto
Everyone, say hello to...
Hazel, Keith, Bertha, Susan, Monty, Stella, and Daisy
They're gorgeous and healthy. Mum and babies are all doing well. Today's been exhausting. I'm off to bed. Have fun on night watch Nana Lynne."
Charlie, who admitted his adorable pups were quite literally "a handful", was inundated with congratulatory messages from his 'Corrie' co-stars past and present.
Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor) wrote: "Oh wow Charlie!! Congrats to all"
Bhavna Limbachia (Rana Habeeb) posted: "Awwww"
Sally Carman (Abi Franklin) wrote: "Omg [crying emojis]"
Singer Pixie Lott also enjoyed seeing pictures of the pups.
She wrote: "Omggggg (sic)"
And S Club 7 singer Jo O'Meara shared some heart emojis.
Charlie's doggy delight comes after he revealed in January he had donated his plasma to help coronavirus sufferers.
The star - who contracted COVID-19 last year, but didn't even realise at the time - took part in an NHS initiative calling for people who have had the respiratory illness to donate their plasma.
In a lengthy Instagram post, he wrote: "Despite my best (continuing) efforts, I had COVID-19 at some point last year. No idea when, where or how. I am extremely fortunate to not even have noticed the dreadful b******.
"@givebloodnhs are looking for people who've had COVID-19 to donate their Plasma to help treat those currently suffering with it.
"If you've had a positive COVID or Antibody Test and you are able to donate blood, please do. You could well be saving somebody's life. It's easy, painless and the staff at Norfolk House in Manchester, where I donate, are absolute gems and will take very good care of you.
"( Its a safe assumption that theyre all just as wonderful up and down the country). Plus they give you Kit Kats and Squash and let's be honest, you could do with a day out, eh? (sic)"
