Charlie Sheen is set to return to UK screens, after Comedy Central UK announced they’d secure the rights to show sitcom Anger Management.
The show, loosely based on the 2003 film of the same name, sees Sheen play a former baseball pro turned psychologist who must to go through an anger management course himself.
While critical reception has been mixed, the viewing figures have been huge, with the premiere breaking cable TV records in the US.
Having picked up the show at the LA screenings in May, Chris Collie, Director of Programming for Comedy Central said “Anger Management was the funniest show from this year’s screenings – Charlie is back and on incredible form.”
“Anger Management sits perfectly alongside our line-up of the biggest and most talked about U.S. shows” he continued.
Awkwardly enough, Anger Management will join Sheen’s last show Two and Half Men on the channel, which still continues to be ratings success despite critical backlash, when it hits the airwaves this autumn.
