'Emmerdale's Charley Webb doesn't think her return to the soap is "too far away" but she's yet to speak to the producer.
The 28-year-old actress temporarily walked away from the long-running show late last year in order to give birth to her second child Bowie, now six months, but she's hoping bosses will let her reprise her role as mechanic Debbie Dingle in the near future as she feels ready to return to work.
She explained: "I'm not sure when it'll be. I'll need to sit down with our producer Iain MacLeod and talk about it."
And the brunette beauty has already thought up her comeback storyline and thinks it'll work really well if her on-screen ex-boyfriend Ross Barton (Michael Parr) plays a role in her return to the Dales after she fled on New Year's Day (01.01.16) with her two young children Sarah and Jack.
She added: "It [my return] won't be too far away and I'm sure that Ross will be involved in her return. There has to be some Ross and Debbie drama in there."
However, for now, Charley - who also has son Buster, six - is enjoying watching her fiancé Matthew Wolfenden, who portrays hopeless romantic David Metcalfe in the show, throw himself into his current heartbreaking cancer storyline.
Matthew, 36, was forced to shave off his eyebrows, beard, nasal fluff and his hair for the story but Charley, who has been dating the hunk since 2014, thinks it was for the best.
She explained to the RadioTimes.com: "I'm really proud of him. But I said to him that it's the least he could do for that story. To give that little bit back. So many people are going through it in real life, so it just doesn't enter my head."
