Charlene White feels "lucky" to be a part of 'Loose Women'.
The 43-year-old newsreader replaced long-serving anchor Andrea McLean on the ITV1 lunchtime chat show in 2020 and is regularly seen debating current issues and interviewing celebrities alongside the likes of former 'Coronation Street' star Denise Welch, broadcast legend Janet Street-Porter and singer Coleen Nolan in what she describes as a job full of "joy and laughter".
She told Mirror Online: "It's a bunch of mates having a laugh. A lot of times they cut back to the studio after an ad break and we're all still laughing... I'm lucky to work with an incredible bunch of women.
"We all have fun... Every morning we have our meeting together, it's a room full of joy and laughter... It's a room full of friendship and a room full of compassion, we care a lot about each other."
In recent months, several new faces have joined the panel including model Christine McGuinness, former 'Love Islan' star Olivia Attwood, and Sue Cleaver, who appeared alongside Charlene in the 2022 edition of 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!'
Charlene was particularly pleased that her former fellow campmate Sue - who is best known for having starred as Eileen Grimshaw on 'Coronation Street' for almost 25 years - had joined the lineup because she'd suggested to her at the time that she would be a perfect fit for the panel.
She told Woman's Own: "When we came out of the jungle a year ago, I said to Sue, ‘I think you will fly if you join our Loose Women panel,’ and look at her now. She’s on tomorrow as a panellist and she fills in every now and then, which is incredible.
"I feel like I work with some of the best women in the business who I learn from every single day. And what’s amazing is, we’re always inserting people to our stable, which means we’re learning so much about each other, and they’re still learning about us. I think what we do is brilliant and I’m really proud of what we do every day."
