The one-off show, which is expected to air on the channel later this year, has a working title of ‘My First Threesome’, and it is hoped the programme will "create healthy ways to bring fantasy to reality".

A Channel 4 source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's a one-off brand new documentary that will provide an open and honest platform for these discussions exploring sexuality, consent and boundaries to create healthy ways to bring fantasy to reality."

A number of programmes about sex have aired on Channel 4 previously.

One of its most popular dating shows, 'Naked Attraction', launched in 2016, and has now been broadcast for five series.

Hosted by Anna Richardson, the premise of the programme sees a contestant picking somebody to date from a line-up of six naked potential partners, who are all stood in different coloured booths.

Each round sees more and more of the participants' bodies being revealed, as they are voted off one-by-one, until the person picking has whittled them down to just two.

Then, after seeing their faces and hearing their voices, they choose who to go on a date with.

It was recently reported the show's bosses are looking to branch out by making a programme called 'Naked Attraction Hotel', which will apparently be a similar concept but taking place in a hotel instead.

There will be a different twist however, as contestants will still have the option of being able to date people who've previously been voted off.

An insider previously said: “The observation producers made was that contestants on the show often ended up wishing they had gone with one of the other choice.

“But in most cases, it was too late to get together with them because they had left the process.

“So, the idea behind having a hotel is that, after the selection process, all the participants remain in one location and can have dates with multiple people.”
