'Celebs Go Dating' is returning with a 'Big Brother'-style twist.
The popular E4 series is said to be shaking up its format due to the coronavirus pandemic, and bosses are turning to the iconic reality show - which ended in 2018 after 18 years on air - for inspiration, with the famous faces set to be kept together in one place.
A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: “This is a safe way to ensure a large chunk of people taking part in the show are Covid-free and aren’t exposed to the virus during the filming.
“They’ll still go on dates with the ‘civilians’ they get paired with but they will be virtual meetings, not face-to-face."
Meanwhile, producers "won't protest too much" if the living arrangements spark some drama between the stars.
The insider added: "If the celebrities who are stuck in each other’s company get embroiled in any rows, mischief or saucy goings-on, they won’t protest too much.
"The cameras will be there to capture it all."
The last series featured Shaughna Phillips, Pete Wicks, Chloe Ferry and Levis Davis as they tried to find romance in a Covid-safe manner.
However - despite the best efforts of the show's dating experts Paul C Brunson and Anna Williamson - the stars didn't find a match, and they are all thought to still be single.
While relationships between the celebrities have been against the rules, there have previously been flings between the stars, and it is thought the new format could potentially end up pushing them closer together.
The line-up hasn't been revealed just yet, but 'The Chase' star Mark Labbett is said to have signed up.
A source previously said: "Mark has been very open about the fact he's not especially romantic. Flirting doesn't come easily to him but he's open to finding love again.
"He's a big lovable giant with a heart of gold but his dating adventures will be something to behold."
