The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ camp is “on course” to be hit by “nightmare” cyclone.
Bosses of the Ant and Dec-fronted ITV reality show are said to be on alert about 130mph Cyclone Jasper, which is expected to strike Australia this weekend.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Production are aware of the threat and the safety of the celebrities is their priority.
“ITV are watching Cyclone Jasper very closely. It has formed hundreds of miles off the coast but the storm is developing and intensifying by the hour.
“The safety of the celebrities is of the utmost importance to ITV and they are monitoring the situation."
In a twist of fate, the storm is scheduled to hit when the final four stars take on the show's famed Celebrity Cyclone challenge this weekend, ahead of Sunday’s (10.12.23) final.
The source added: “The timing could not be more apt, as the cyclone is on course to hit when the stars are taking on that very challenge.
“This year the celebs have had to endure pretty horrible weather and just as the sun started to shine, it’s all going south again.
“ITV are ready for any eventuality but, ultimately, Cyclone Jasper could be an absolute nightmare and wreak havoc. The team are watching and waiting with bated breath.”
Josie Gibson, 38, Sam Thompson, 31, Tony Bellew, 41, Nigel Farage, 59, Danielle Harold, 31, Nick Pickard, 48, and Marvin Humes, 38, are the only campmates remaining after Frankie Dettori, Nella Rose and Fred Sirieix were voted off the show this week, and Jamie Lynn Spears and Grace Dent both departed last week "on medical grounds".
