Channel 5 executives were left open-mouthed after one star, who was asked to do 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' earlier this month, allegedly asked if they could be put up in a hotel at nighttime rather than spend 24 hours a day in the infamous house when the show hits screens next month.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "One celeb thought the show is only filmed in the daytime and so they could pop off to a hotel at night. The same celebrity was asked to do the jungle this year and wanted the same thing!"

But that wasn't the only obscure request bosses received as another celebrity asked to have a hearty meal in secret.

The insider added: "He told producers he couldn't survive on sludge and beans and wanted to come to the Diary Room in secret and have burger and chips without anyone knowing."

Other bizarre requests included a daily call home to speak to her pets, "private time'' in the Diary Room to pen a blog, and two other stars asked for their phones to go on Twitter.

Meanwhile, although Channel 5 have claimed any stars tipped for the show are "pure speculation", several names have been dropped including 'Strictly Come Dancing' beauty Kristina Rihanoff, former 'The Only Way Is Essex' loudmouth Gemma Collins and Prince Andrew's ex-girlfriend Koo Stark.

It's also believed axed 'Hollyoaks' actress Stephanie Davis has been offered £200,000 to enter the reality show house, as well as 'Made in Chelsea' hunk Spencer Matthews.

'Celebrity Big Brother' is set to return to television screens across the nation on January 5, 2016.
