Amanda Mealing wants to return to 'Holby City'.
The 51-year-old star - who originally appeared on the hospital soap from 2004 to 2010 before joining the cast of 'Casualty' four years later - also in the role of Connie Beauchamp - and she admitted filming for the upcoming special crossover episodes has made her nostalgic.
She told Digital Spy: "Do you know what? When I was there, I was walking around, thinking, 'Do you know what? I'd like to come back, I think. I really would.' I do love it there, I really do. So we'll see.
"I didn't realise how much I loved it. I obviously have great affection for the show. But actually being back just reminded me that I have so many happy memories there.
"It's like an old friend. It's like putting an old coat back on, and, you know, it's lovely."
Amanda returned to Elstree studios to shoot scenes for the special crossover - which will air on Saturday (02.03.19) and Tuesday (05.03.19) - and the episodes will see her alter ego reunited with former colleagues in a familiar setting.
She teased the possibility of "a clash of the titans", with Connie set to come face to face with Rosie Marcel's character Jac Naylor.
Amanda added: "Well you've got what you want there. You've got a clash of two very, very strong alpha women. It's done really well, because of course, when Connie was here, Jac was, I suppose, the underling. And now Jac is very much the kind of alpha woman upstairs at the hospital.
"So you do get a clash of the titans, which is quite delicious. And Rosie and I, we used to be neighbours. When I was here, I had the house next-door to her.
"So she and I are really close. You usually find that: the two people that are the greatest of enemies on screen are the greatest friends. "
