Amy Hart says Caroline Flack once reached out to her best friend to help her navigate the "dark side of social media".
The 'Love Island' star opened up about the 40-year-old presenter following her death on Saturday (15.02.20), and explained how Caroline once messaged Amy's best friend to check she was OK after trolls attacked her online.
Speaking on 'Good Morning Britain', Amy said: "She reached out to my best friend as well to help her navigate the dark side of social media ... my friend posted about the death threats I was receiving and Caroline followed her to message her and be like, 'It's fine. Just ignore them and move on.' "
Amy also remembered how kind Caroline was when she was on the ITV2 dating show in 2019.
She recalled: "She was amazing. From putting us all at ease from the first day, like in the breaks between filming, she was like, 'You alright girls? You alright? You alright?'
"When I came out of Casa Amor, she was basically holding my hand basically telling me to shut up because I was baring my soul when I really shouldn't have been."
The blonde beauty voluntarily left the villa after Curtis Pritchard called it quits with her before moving onto Maura Higgins.
And Caroline was there to hold her hand during the heartbreak and helped her "move forward".
Amy said: "Then at 'Aftersun', she sat me down at the after-party and talked me through everything - how to move forward and what the industry is like."
Caroline took her own life at her east London home on Saturday.
Asked how she felt after hearing the news, Amy said: "I was gutted, really gutted, but send love to all her friends and family.
"I didn't know her but the change she did for all of us ... she went above and beyond in her role as presenter."
