Along with presenting the main show on ITV2, Caroline is also set to front a weekly spin-off programme, 'Aftersun', which will feature a host of celebrities and give fans a further insight into the goings-on in the house.

Caroline tweeted: "Hi! I'm going to be hosting a BRAND new live show on Sundays nights during Love Island and you can be part of it ..."

She shared a link to an announcement on ITV's website, showing how viewers can feature on the show.

It said: "This year, we're bringing you even more 'Love Island' action in the shape of 'Love Island: Aftersun'. It's a brand new weekly show, broadcast live every Sunday night hosted by Caroline Flack.

"Aftersun promises to be packed to the rafters with the very latest gossip from the villa, exclusive interviews with the Islanders and a celebrity panel desperate to have their say on all things Love Island.

"And WE WANT YOU to be involved. We're looking for Love Island super fans who want to be part of the most talked about show of the summer. Don't mug us off, join in and have your say!

"Upload a short video of yourself below telling us which of last year's Islanders you loved and which you loathed and we may use it on air, on our website, on our social media channels or in other ways. Go on spill the beans on what you really thought... Be sure to tell us why you felt that way and as always, don't hold back!

"Closing date 30th July 2017. You must be 18 or over to take part. Terms and conditions apply."

This is not the only good news for Caroline, as it was recently revealed that the main show will be extended by a week.

An insider said: "Due to the massive success of last year's series among viewers, bosses have decided to extend the current one by a week.

"They hope this will give contestants a greater chance of finding love and lead to more summer loving than ever before."
