Carley Stenson says the coronavirus pandemic made her realise how much she wanted a baby

The ex ‘Hollyoaks’ actress welcomed her 19-month-old daughter Skye with husband Danny Mac in June 2021.

Carley - who tied the knot with the former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star in a private woodland ceremony in Hampshire three years prior - was riding the high of married life until lockdown made her realise what was missing.

She told OK! magazine: “We were on the fast, amazing rollercoaster of life.

“I think the world almost had to stop for me to realise just how much I wanted to have a child.”

West End star Carley has joined the cast of the latest series of ‘Dancing on Ice’ alongside pro ice-skating partner Mark Hanretty, and the star admitted she is struggling with “mum guilt” while being away from her daughter.

Carley made her debut on the ice on Sunday night (22.01.23) and she made a smashing start by topping the leader board with 36 points out of 40.

Speaking about her mum guilt, she told Hello! magazine: “I feel awful when I’m not with her.

“I remember my first day back to work, when Skye had a rash. I got off the Tube and I could have gone left to work or right to go home, and I had to ring my mum and say, 'Please tell me what to do’.

“But I knew Skye was with my mother-in-law, who is a nurse, so she could not have been in better hands.”
