Cara De La Hoyde’s “libido is gone” after welcoming baby number two.
The former ‘Love Island’ star has two-year-old son Fred and four-month-old daughter Delilah with her husband Nathan Massey, and has said she currently isn’t sleeping in the same bed as her spouse because of their kids, and so has no alone time with him.
When asked if the couple still make time for one another, Cara admitted: “We’re not even sleeping in the same bed because Delilah is in our room with me. Nathan sleeps in Fred’s room so he won’t get woken up and be a zombie at work the next day. I can’t remember the last time we were on our own. My libido’s gone anyway – I’m too tired.”
The 30-year-old beauty also confessed she’s found going from one baby to two has been more pressure than she first thought it would be.
She said: “Going from one to two is mental. I thought: ‘I’ve got this’ because Fred is independent and he tells me what’s wrong and asks for things. Then Delilah came along …”
Cara believes it’s important to be honest about the highs and lows of motherhood, and even had to unfollow some of the “mum bloggers” she was following on social media, because their “perfect” lives made her feel inadequate.
She explained: “I’ve had to unfollow some mum bloggers because their lives look so perfect. Good for them that they have got their s*** together, but I’m a mum who is winging it. Double winging it now with two kids!
“I’d love to be one of these mums who makes lunchboxes look amazing, but I haven’t washed my hair for five days and Fred has the odd McDonald’s. If they’re making me feel like I’m not doing enough for my kids, I unfollow. I don’t need that stress.”
And when asked if she wants to have another baby, Cara insisted she’ll “never say never”, but doesn’t want to have a third child until Fred and Delilah are older.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday’s Fabulous magazine, she said: “I’m very lucky to have my boy and my girl. I’m glad that we didn’t leave a big gap. Never say never, but if I did have another one I’d wait till they’re at school. I’m going to get a five-year coil put in to make sure!”
