Debbie McGee is "embracing every minute of life" following the death of her husband Paul Daniels.
The 64-year-old TV star was famously married to the legendary magician - who passed away less than a month after being diagnosed with a brain tumour at the age of 77 in 2016 - and explained that whilst life after loss is "never the same", has learned to "accept" things and now tries to take every day as it comes.
Speaking on ITV's 'Good Morning Britain', she said: "Life is never the same again when you lose somebody, there is that hole, you can't fill that gap but what you can do is accept they've gone, that's the biggest thing. And then just take every day as it comes. I'm so lucky, I have fantastic family, and wonderful friends.
"Everywhere I go, people are lovely to me. I haven't been on here for a little whille but even the security guard said 'Oh, Debbie, it's great to have you back.' Or the makeup girls, you have to shut us all up! I just embrace every minute of my life now and accept that it's different to when it was with Paul but it doesn't mean it can't be as good. I'm just lucky that I had this amazing life and I've still got an amazing life. Every day is different."
The former 'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant - who is set to explore Irish culture as part of an upcoming episode of BBC Two series 'B and B By the Sea' - also revealed that while she may not be completely "ready" to find love again, she will is open to the idea of it happening but will not go searching for it.
She said: "I never said I'm ready for love but if it happens, it happens. If you go looking for it you look desperate and you never find it. All the people I know who say 'Oh, if only I could meet somebody' - men or women - don't seem to find it or find the right person."
