Callum Kerr thinks his domestic abuse storyline in 'Hollyoaks' "gets a bit mental".
The 26-year-old actor - who plays George Kiss in the long-running soap - revealed his character's plans to continue abusing John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) will become more "shocking" over the next few months.
He told Metro.co.uk: "We’ve got some brilliant but shocking TV coming up, and I can’t wait to watch it. We’ve done some amazing stuff over the last few months and it gets a bit mental!
"We’ve not finished filming this storyline yet, so this goes on and on, and it’s just brilliant. It takes so many twists and turns, and you’d be daft to miss it!"
The policeman has been controlling his boyfriend for several months and recently tried to stop him from applying for a job as George needs his constant attention.
Callum explained: "George is pretty childish. He’s also very needy and wants John Paul’s attention at all times.
"Any time John Paul looks like he’s got something better to do, it really frustrates George, and the way he deals with that is to make John Paul feel bad for doing whatever it is that he’s doing on his own."
However, things are set to take a turn this week after his plans to control John Paul backfired and left George injured when he collided with a cupboard door.
George is set to turn the tables on John Paul by confiding in Peri Lomax (Ruby O'Donnell) and suggesting that John Paul has been abusing him.
Callum added: "He spots an opportunity to frame John Paul, and make it look like he might’ve done something. He doesn’t tell Peri that John Paul has done anything, but he doesn’t make it clear that it was an accident, and this is a good opportunity for him to have some people turn against John Paul."
