Brooke Vincent didn't know she had to do a matinee show when she agreed to star in 'Be My Baby'.
The 'Coronation Street' actress, who is gearing up for a nine-week stint playing a young mother in the theatre production, asked her co-star Faye Brookes if she would have to do a mid-afternoon performance for her new role as she was clueless when it came to stage dynamics.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Faye said: "I'm so excited for her. The questions she had before she was leaving were so cute. She was like, 'Babe, do I need to do a matinee?' I was like, "Yeah doll, it's going to happen." Obviously I come from theatre so we're doing a bit of a change. I'm staying here on 'Corrie' and she's going off to do theatre and it's nice to see her get her teeth stuck into something new and she'll absolutely love it."
Faye, 29, - who plays Kate Connor in the ITV soap - doesn't think Brooke's new theatre gig will encourage her to quit the long-running show but has admitted she'll always support her friend regardless of what she decides to do.
She explained: "I'm not worried she won't come back as I doubt she'll want to do theatre permanently. She could do. She's very very very talented. 'Coronation Street' is wonderful for that. It'll be wonderful for Brooke."
Meanwhile, Brooke - who plays a pregnant woman in the production - has admitted her fake baby bump that she's had to sport during rehearsals hasn't made her broody.
Asked on ITV's 'Lorraine' if wearing the prop has made her want children, she laughed: "No. I'd have the bump not the baby. It's the baby and then they grow up and you have to feed them and all that. Got ages yet!"
However, the 24-year-old beauty also said it's a "relief" to take off the huge prop at the end of the day.
She said: "You get a bit attached to that. It's a bit like when you take it off, this is going to sound really bad, but when you take your bra off at the end of the night it's like 'aah', it's like relief. It's like I've been carrying this big bump around all day!"
