'EastEnders' and 'Emmerdale' lead the way with 13 nominations each for the British Soap Awards.
The short list has been revealed for next month's ceremony, which is set to take place at London's Hackney Empire in June with Phillip Schofield hosting as the show returns to ITV after two years off air due to the pandemic.
'EastEnders', 'Coronation Street', 'Emmerdale', 'Hollyoaks' and 'Doctors' are all up for best British soap, which is one three viewer-voted categories.
Both the Oustanding Achievement and Tony Warren prizes will be announced on the night.
Corrie's Sally Carman (Abi Webster) is on the shortlist for best leading performance alongside 'EastEnders' duo Gillian Wright (Jean Slater) and Linda Henry (Shirley Carter), and 'Emmerdale' pair Mark Charnock (Marlon Dingle) and Paige Sandhu (Meena Jutla).
Also available to vote on is the best family, with the nominees made up of the Carters (EastEnders), the Dingles (Emmerdale), the McQueens (Hollyoaks) and the Alahans (Coronation Street).
Sandhu finds herself in the running for villain of the year after her character's killing spree, and she faces tough competition from the likes of 'Corrie' star Maximum Evans (Corey Brent), 'Doctors' actress Laura White (Dr. Princess Buchanan), 'EastEnders' baddie Toby-Alexander Smith (Gray Atkins) and 'Hollyoaks' star Rihannon Clements (Summer Ranger).
The shortlists have been revealed for a number of categories including thsoe for best comedy performer, newcomer, single episode, dramatic performance and more.
Meanwhile, the 'Corrie' steam is in the running for best storyline after its hate crime storyline which featured the tragic death of Seb Franklin (Harry Visioni).
