Brian McFadden has been eliminated from 'The Jump'.
The former Westlife singer has narrowly missed out on a place in the final of the winter sports competition, despite setting a record for the highest ever jump performed on the Air Jump, when he achieved a height of 9.72 metres.
However, the other contestants facing the eliminator, Dean Cain, Sid Owen and Tamara Beckwith, all recorded longer distances having opted to tackle the main ski jump.
Brian didn't seem too disappointed by his exit, joking: "I'm leaving alive!"
He tweeted afterwards: "Had the time of my life on the jump gonna miss @RealDeanCain @sidowen5 @TomParker and the whole Gang x(sic)"
Earlier in the evening, viewers learned Heather Mills would be leaving the competition after suffering a ruptured thumb and a knee injury that left her unable to compete in tonight's (28.02.16) semi-final.
She said at the beginning of the show: "I could be back in a few days but it's not fair on everyone else."
Earlier this week, Sarah Harding was forced to pull out after suffering an injury during training.
The show has already lost Beth Tweddle, Rebecca Adlington, Linford Christie, Tina Hobley, and Mark-Francis Vandelli to injury.
Five stars remain to compete in next week's final; Tom Parker, Ben Cohen, Dean, Sid and Tamara.
