Filming on 'Brassic' is said to have been halted after a production team member showed coronavirus symptoms.
Michelle Keegan and other stars of the Sky One comedy were reportedly tested for Covid-19 on Monday (21.09.20) as a result of the potential positive case, and filming on the third series will not resume until it "is safe" to do so.
An insider told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "The safety of the cast and crew is of the utmost importance so until bosses know it's totally safe filming won't be going ahead.
"It could be a fortnight before it starts again.
"Michelle was due to start filming this week but nothing is happening until they're sure it's safe."
Michelle plays cash-strapped mother Erin Croft on the show, and the actress recently hit out at the "negative" and "gloomy" portrayal of working class mums on TV.
Speaking in May, she said: "I knew she was going to be a really strong female and I wanted her to be an empowering character.
"A lot of the time you see working class mums portrayed in a dark way or a gloomy way and hard done by, but Erin doesn't feel like that.
"She's ambitious, she's the mother hen of the group and I knew that's how I wanted her to be portrayed, in a positive way not a negative way."
And she admitted at the time, Peter Kay had been in talks about a potential 'Brassic' role.
She said: "The last season I remember Joe speaking to Peter because I know that Peter is a fan of the show.
"I don't know if it's true that he's joining, I just know that he's a fan of the show and he was in talks with Joe.
"It would be great, he'd be a great addition to the show. I'm a massive fan of Peter Kay as well so fingers crossed, it'd be hilarious."
