The 'EastEnders' star, 53, enjoyed watching her co-star Davood Ghadami wow the nation with his snake hips and fancy footwork on the ballroom and latin series earlier this month and, although she'd love to learn a bit of the technique, she doesn't think bosses would want her on the show.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "Oh gosh I don't think they'd ask me. Well I have danced in my lifetime, not as Carmel [her character], Carmel can't dance. And although I've never done ballroom I've done latin, which I love the idea of learning, I think to learn a new skill is brilliant. But you know I think ultimately I have danced before so I wouldn't want to be at an advantage."

And, although she works closely with Davood on the soap, in which he plays her son Kush Kazemi, he refused to show her any of his routines on set because he wanted it to be a surprise for everyone when he dazzled on the dance floor with his professional partner Nadiya Bychkova .

She said: "No he didn't practice on set. They kept it all very secret, very secret."
