The revival of Birds of a Feather has seen great success with audiences of up to 9.5 million since its launch earlier this year, and so ITV have recommissioned the show for a second series.
Starring original cast members Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph, the revival series brought the fun of Birds of a Feather back to Friday night television.
Lauren Marks and Maurice Gran - original writers with Gary Lawson and John Phelps are to return once more to write for the new eight-part series, filming later this year.
Maurice said: "We're delighted Birds of a Feather was such a success on ITV and really pleased to be asked to write another series. We hope the further adventures of Sharon, Tracey and Dorien will continue to thrill audiences young and old."
