Binky Felstead expected motherhood to be "worse" than she's experienced it.
The 27-year-old reality star and her boyfriend Josh 'JP' Patterson are parents to seven-month-old daughter India and though nothing has "surprised" her about raising a baby, she's pleased none of the horror stories she was warned about have come true.
She said: "Nothing has surprised me, but I thought it was going to be a lot worse.
"People like to scaremonger new mums. Sleep deprivation is quite a big one for me, but the silly petty things in life don't bother me any more."
But the former 'Made in Chelsea' star admitted things have begun to get a little bit tougher.
She said: "The first few months have been good. India is very well, but she's starting to teethe a bit so it's not as easy as it was."
Binky was left panicked last month when she accidentally locked India in the house alone, and she admitted she looked like a "mad woman" as she rushed to get back inside.
She explained: "I was putting the bins out and the wind blew the door shut. India was inside in her chair.
"My adrenaline kicked in, I ran like Usain Bolt to my mum's to get a key.
"I looked like a mad woman screaming down the road."
Binky thinks having India has made herself and JP closer as a couple.
She told OK! magazine: "It's made us really close. I love the homely feel and him coming in from work and one of us cooking - you really appreciate family time."
And the brunette beauty praised her partner as a "great" father.
She said: "He's a really good dad. He's very silly with her.
"I think he'll really come into his own when she's a bit older, because he treats her like a toddler already, which is quite sweet. He's a great father, really funny and caring. I knew he would be, though."
