'Hollyoaks' star Billy Price was convinced Sid Summers would be the soap's body-bag victim.
The 20-year-old actor has revealed he thought that his character would be the mystery victim in the soap's year-long mystery.
He told Digital Spy: "Oh I actually thought I was - 120 percent thought I was. I remember even asking right at the start: 'Who's in the body bag?' No-one said anything, so I was convinced it was me, but then when I found out it wasn't, I was so relieved. To get to stay in the village where it all goes down is a huge honour."
After 12 months of speculation, the victim was revealed to be Sid's cousin Jordan Price - played by Connor Calland - but his departure left Billy even more devastated.
He continued: "It was really sad because me and Connor had a really nice chemistry on screen. We got on really well and it reflected on screen that we had that close chemistry and cousin bond.
"He's a brilliant actor, so natural, and it was really nice to work with him. I am going to miss him and it's sad, because Sid is now back to having no family! But at the end of the day, there's only so much that a character like Jordan can get away with and they need to be punished."
Billy has enjoyed playing Sid on the show, as he's loved trying to change the opinions of the nation.
He reflected: "I've absolutely loved it. I feel very lucky and I thank the whole team at 'Hollyoaks' for giving me the journey. It's always nice when you have that type of journey - you don't come in as a loveable character where people love you from the start and you have to change someone's opinion.
"He's gone from people thinking he's a horrible little rat, to now one of the characters who touches the audience's hearts. It really shows how the character has developed. It's made me closer to the audience because I've turned their hearts around."
